Tim Conkle, President of Roland Technology Group began his entrepreneurial
quest early in life. Growing up in Wylie, Texas one of eight children, he
realized that being a business owner was much more profitable than working
for someone. His first business started when he realized if you could supply
a service to people they didn’t want to do themselves or couldn’t do for
themselves - you could earn enough money to be self-sufficient (and buy
a great truck in high school!)
Tim’s first business was patching bicycle tires for all the kids in town. Like
any great entrepreneur, as his business grew, he began to look for more
opportunities. He found it in recycling old bicycles kids threw out. Tim
discovered the value in recycled bicycles and his second business – used bicycle
sales soared.
Tim served 4 years in the Army during Desert Storm and continued to live a life of discipline with honor. Upon
release from the Army, he was hired by EDS as a UNIX Administrator. During his four years with EDS he attended
Devry College to earn his BS in Computer Information Systems and started his first IT company – Lucon Computer
Systems in 1990.
The business grew quickly and his entrepreneurial spirit was again awakened. He purchased Roland Technology
Group in 1992, consolidated the businesses and added Arlington Computer & Service in 2007. Tim and his team
are dedicated to delivering industry best service with innovative solutions. You will often find him in the field as a
hand’s on leader. His passion for solving your business IT needs in a cost effective, future focused manner is what
keeps him motivated.
Tim’s a devoted dad of three boys and one girl, drives his wife crazy at times, enjoys active workouts in the gym
including basketball and is proud he can still out play the twenty-somethings on the court and in the aerobics room.
